Measured outcomes

What firms see when adoption holds

These are the patterns we see on engagements where leadership stays engaged and workflows are tied to billable work. Not vendor promises.

5-10 hours

saved per attorney in month one

Because we focus on high-volume workflows like motion drafting and research summarization. Not experimental use cases your team will abandon.

90%+ adoption

within 30 days

Because we train attorneys on their actual matters with role-specific prompt libraries. Not generic demos they can't apply.

3-6 months

to full ROI

Because you're eliminating the billable hours wasted on copy-paste work your associates hate and clients refuse to pay premium rates for.

Representative results from selected engagements. Outcomes vary by practice area, matter volume, workflow selection, and adoption support.

Engagements

What this looks like in practice

Anonymized by request. Each one is structured around the problem leadership had, what we actually did, and what moved as a result.

Regional litigation boutique

42 attorneys, California

Problem
Partners had scattered AI experiments but no adoption plan. Skeptics on the partnership doubted ROI.
Intervention
Prioritized 5 workflows, trained 42 attorneys via BHBA partnership, tied every session to billable-time savings.
Result
6.5 hours saved per attorney each week. 92% adoption in 45 days.
Why it mattered
Partners had evidence for firm-wide rollout. Not another AI demo.

Family law and valuation team

3 offices

Problem
Manual spreadsheet work on financial expert reports across 3 offices created inconsistency and slowdowns.
Intervention
Built the Automated Tax Return Importer with their financial experts. Rolled it out through the 90-day sprint.
Result
80% reduction in manual spreadsheet work. Standardized expert reports across 3 offices. Prompt libraries approved by GC.
Why it mattered
Faster client deliverables and consistent work product across offices.

How it works

Three steps from here to firm-wide adoption

Diagnose what's worth doing. Deploy the workflows that matter. Embed support on the matters where speed counts. The same verbs we use across every engagement.

  1. 01 / Diagnose

    Weeks 1-2

    Align leadership and prioritize workflows

We run a workshop with managing partners and practice leaders. Map AI applications by practice area, identify risks, and create a prioritized list of 2-3 workflows to test first.

    • Unified AI strategy your partners actually agreed to
    • Prioritized workflow list ranked by time savings and risk
    • 90-day plan with assigned owners and milestones
  2. 02 / Deploy

    Weeks 3-12

Train the team and launch workflows

In-firm Lab Days with role-specific training on your actual client documents. Followed by adoption sprints where we track usage, refine prompts, and coach attorneys through real matters.

    • Prompt libraries your team uses on active matters
    • Review-ready safety guardrails for internal counsel and risk committees
    • Internal handoff docs so adoption outlasts any single champion
  3. 03 / Embed

    Ongoing

Get embedded support when it matters

When you face a discovery-heavy case or tight deadline, we embed AI specialists with your team to process documents, build timelines, and organize exhibits.

    • Document processing in days, not weeks
    • Your team trained on the workflows as we execute
    • Capacity freed for the legal strategy work clients value

Confidentiality and governance

Built for legal confidentiality and governance

Law firms can't adopt AI by telling attorneys to experiment on their own. Every workflow needs clear boundaries for client data, tool use, review, and accountability.

Approved use cases and data boundaries

We help define which workflows are appropriate for AI support, which tasks stay off-limits, what can be entered into approved systems, and how client confidentiality is protected.

Human review steps

AI output is treated as assisted work product, not attorney judgment. Workflows include review, verification, and escalation points.

Documentation and adoption tracking

Leadership gets a documented workflow model, training plan, and adoption visibility instead of unmanaged experimentation.

Review-ready guardrails for internal counsel and risk committees.

Case support

Need AI on a live matter right now?

We embed AI specialists directly with your litigation or deal team to process documents, build timelines, and organize exhibits. Your team gets the work product now and learns the workflows as we execute them.

Common questions

Questions firm leaders ask

Straight answers to what managing partners, COOs, and practice heads want to know before they start.

Is AI reliable enough for actual legal work?

On its own, no. That's why we focus on workflows with human review built in. AI drafts, lawyers verify. AI surfaces, lawyers decide. The 100+ use cases we've developed all include validation checkpoints that match how firms already work.

What about confidentiality and client data?

Every workflow we build uses enterprise-grade tools with proper data-handling agreements in place. We review security with your IT and GC before anything goes live. Most firms are surprised how much can be done once the tools are selected correctly.

How long until we see results?

Most firms see measurable results within 60 to 90 days. The Foundations Workshop delivers a prioritized plan in a single session; the 90-Day Sprint turns two or three of those workflows into trained, adopted habits, with attorneys typically saving 5 to 10 hours a month once the workflows stick.

Our partners are skeptical. How do you get them to adopt?

We start with partners, not despite them. The workshop isn't "here's how to prompt." It's "here are the three workflows that will give you hours back." When partners see it working on their own documents, skepticism turns to curiosity. From there, it's training and tracking.

We already tried ChatGPT and it hallucinated. Why try again?

Consumer ChatGPT is a tool. What we build are workflows: prompts engineered for specific tasks, with validation steps, connected to your firm's standards. The difference between "ChatGPT didn't work" and "AI saved us six hours a week" is the workflow design.

How is this different from Harvey, CoCounsel, or Lexis+ AI?

Those are vendor products: one-size-fits-all tools you license. We're implementation and training partners. We help you figure out which tools (including those) fit your practice, then train your team to actually use them. Many clients use both: a vendor tool plus our implementation help.

What's the minimum firm size this works for?

Most clients are 10 to 50 attorney firms. Smaller boutiques can start with the workshop alone. Larger firms typically want the full sprint with role-based training tracks.
